So today’s post is bringing back some happy memories and some fantastic designs for today’s generation. The first features an oversized armchair – plenty of room for two – by @howelondon in a design by @nicolahardingandco . The rug is by @vanderhurd and I love the nostalgic quality of this room.
Next a fine balance of ‘fairy tale and sophistication’ in the London house of @lonikachande . Exquisite ‘Alice in Wonderland’ wallpaper (by CFA Voysey from Trustworth Studios), woodwork picked out in @farrowandball ‘Picture Gallery Red’ and those papier maché letters from @edit.58 spelling out her son’s name on the wall – too many good things to stare at. Adorable and endlessly interesting.
More bright colours in this children’s room joyfully decked out in the Chintamini Trellis wallpaper and fabric by the very talented @ottolinedevries – and featuring brilliant ‘book and toy nook’ in this design by @studiopeake
The curtained space in the next design by @lucymarshinteriors features my favourite @soanebritain scrolling frond fabric – not often seen in children’s rooms and used here to great effect – and again a nifty built in shelf for books, photos and precious things.
Lastly the railway carriage beds I worked on with @nicolahardingandco for @royaloakramsden . I made curtains in @guygoodfellowcollection olive sacking stripe to create hideaways for children (of any age!) staying in the cottage at this gem of a place in the Cotswolds.
